Anne-René Petrarca
Anne-René’s yoga journey began in the 1990s in New York City and has unfolded alongside a life devoted to movement, awareness, somatic exploration, and creative expression. Movement has always been her first language — a way of listening, feeling, and becoming.
Her inspirations are deeply rooted in nature, music, spanda, poetry, mythology, art, and the ever-changing sky. Through these influences, she continues to explore the fullness, flow, and vibration of life — the quiet knowing that we are all works in progress, carving our way toward something vast, luminous, and deeply alive.
To practice yoga, for Anne-René, is to come closer to life itself. It is a synthesis of body, mind, and spirit — a creative intelligence that holds you gently, then sets you free. She teaches from a place of curiosity, presence, and gratitude for the many teachers and experiences that have shaped her path.
Anne-René is also a dance artist, Alexander Technique teacher, and the artistic director of Sculpted Motion. Her work bridges movement and mindfulness, inviting others into deeper connection with themselves and the world around them. Movement is the thread that weaves breath into being.
